Australian Idol

Small town to the National Stage

Growing up in Karratha, Western Australia, I never imagined that music would eventually take me to a national television stage. Coming from a small regional town, the path into the music industry wasn’t always obvious, but I continued chasing the dream and eventually moved to Perth to pursue music further.

Australian Idol 2026

In 2026, I auditioned for Australian Idol, earning a Golden Ticket and progressing through the competition to become a Top 18 finalist.

Standing on a national stage was surreal, but more than anything, it showed me how far I had come from performing and developing as an artist in Karratha.

It was also incredibly rewarding to be recognised as someone who was genuinely following their dream. After years of working towards a career in music, having that journey recognised on a national platform was a really special moment for me.

Back to Where It Started

One of the most meaningful parts of the experience was being able to reconnect with the community I grew up in. I returned to my old schools in Karratha as a guest speaker, sharing my journey with students and talking about what it takes to pursue a dream.

Growing up regionally taught me that where you come from doesn't have to determine where you can go.

I want young people to know that they should chase what they're passionate about, regardless of where they come from or how big the dream might seem.

For me, Australian Idol wasn't just a milestone in my music career — it was a moment of reflection on the hard work I put in and how far that dream had taken me.
